The Queen Elisabeth Institute Oostduinkerke is celebrating their opening

On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, the Rehabilitation Hospital of 18,000 m² was officially inaugurated in the presence of Flemish Minister Mr. Jo Vandeurzen. Boydens Engineering offered project management support during renovation and worked in phases to reduce the possibility of disruptions in the Admitting department of the hospital. The first phase entailed the construction of a new underground boiler room, a temporary building and a new visitor parking with a bicycle shed. To ensure the continuous supply of heat, water and electricity, the new boiler room was outfitted with a high-voltage cabin, a medical gas cabin and an emergency group. The following phase was the completion of the hospital cafeteria on the fifth floor offering panoramic views of the Belgian coast and a pleasant place to stay for patients, visitors and staff. Finally, all nursing stations, day rooms, doctor's offices, single and double patient rooms were completed. As well as a new industrial kitchen with all modern amenities and the central accounting department of the hospital.
