On Thursday June 7th, 2018 the masterplan renovation work of the Vooruit reached a high point in the construction phase; the planting of the Maypole and was celebrated with all the involved building partners.
In addition to presentations regarding the state of affairs of the construction project, the guests were also informed about the future plans of investments for this designated monument.
Generally, the construction works entail the creation of a new entrance zones, extra studios for artists and more technical storage space, ensuring in future that Vooruit remains a place where visitors and performers can be received in the best way manner
The main entrance will become the most striking part of the building. The spacious reception area and public lobby will assist the circulation flows of the visitors .In the Arts center, a new ticketing and reception desk will become closer and more accessible to the public.
Theater storage, changing rooms, storage rooms of all kinds will be located in the cellar.
On the upper levels various groups may take advantage of using the meeting rooms, rehearsal rooms, studio space and such.
Completion of the project is expected by the end of this year.
