‘De Ideale Woning CV’ (The Ideal Home) is an affordable housing organization providing over 5,300 homes spread out in the suburbs and municipalities of Antwerp. Since the municipality of Borsbeek saw the need to increase the percentage affordable housing, De Ideale Woning CV were granted the pre-emption right to purchase land on a site in Borsbeek.

There are 57 low-income rental apartments, 11 owner-occupied homes, and a children’s day care facility built with support from the VMSW. Each apartment is equipped with its own condensing gas wall boiler and hot water production and type C ventilation. ground floor rental apartment or owner-occupied home utilizes harvested rainwater for their garden hose and for the flushing of toilets.

In addition, there is an underground parking with 59 parking spaces, with access to the utility meters and a bicycle storage. All public areas are  equipped with a fire alarm system and an additional dry sprinkler pipe for the parking lot.
The ventilation is controlled by CO sensors.  All apartments have internet and satellite connection.
