Residence and houses Kehlen, rue du Brameschhof , Kehlen, LU Studiebureau Boydens

The project consists of 11 houses, 6 apartments and underground parking

Installations for the houses:
An individual system for heating, ventilation and hot water has been installed to accommodate the comfort level and needs for each home owner.
A thermodynamic double flow system composed of a heat exchanger, a reversible heat pump on the extracted air and fans was installed.  The dual flow ventilation ensures not only the removal of spoiled/stale air, but also the supply of fresh air, and night time passive cooling during the summer months.  The heat pump also has a function.  In addition to heating, it also utilized for the production of domestic hot water and meets the requirements for the treatment of Legionnaire's disease.  These sustainable measures in turn provide substantial savings of up to 70% on the energy bill.

Installations for the apartments:
50kW capacity condensing boiler utilizing natural gas will produce enough energy to heat the various surfaces and for the production of domestic hot water.  Rooms are heated by means of low-temperature radiators that can be regulated by a programmable thermostat in the living room.  A high-efficient centralized dual flow ventilation system with double flow has been installed, whereby stale/polluted air is discharged from the bathroom, toilet and the kitchen.  The fresh air is supplied to the living room and bedrooms.
