The former Flemish government office building was beautifully renovated and converted into 80 furnished student flats (bed 1m40 wide, spacious closet, desk, and a table with 2 chairs in the heart of Bruges. The surrounding green character was preserved and enhanced by completely renewing and making the communal courtyard garden accessible for the inhabitants. A cozy communal living room area is available for students to share.  Each flat is equipped with modern amenities such as internet connection, TV, video doorbell phone system.
For the generation of heat in the entire facility, a condensing gas boiler is used in central location and distributed to the radiators in each flat.  For the production of domestic hot-water a loading boiler is utilized.
The building management system automatically controls the entire HVAC sanitary installation. The building is outfitted with the necessary safety equipment to meet safety regulations, such as fire detection, gas detection and emergency lighting.
Each student flat has their own meters to measure their electrical, hot and cold water, and energy consumption of their own flat.  Making it possible for them to control their energy needs and costs accordingly
