Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges Studiebureau Boydens

description

During the short period between the end of one soccer season and the beginning of the next, the field was to be entirely excavated for the installation of the new drainage, the integration of an underground irrigation system and the installation of a new field structure with integrated field heating.

For the field heating, heat is produced through condensing boilers and distributed through plastic pipes at 30 cm beneath the turf. The irrigation is accomplished with rainwater that is buffered in the adjacent pond.
