The ABC Tower in Zeebrugge officially opened its doors

The ABC Tower in Zeebrugge officially opened their doors on June 15th, 2018 in the presence of Mr. Renaat Landuyt, Mayor for the City of Bruges, and Mr Joachim Coens, CEO and Chairman of the Management Committee for the Port of Zeebrugge. Since Zeebrugge has developed into the largest cruise port in Flanders, it was necessary to replace the existing Sea Station and construct a 7 story building to provide tourists greater and quicker access to many historical cities in Flanders especially Bruges. The ground floor serves as the visitor reception area accommodating up to 500 passengers complete with baggage check-in, boarder control, shops and tourist information desk. An auditorium and event area is located on the first level. Office space is designated on levels 2 through to and including the 6th level. The cruise terminals restaurant will be located on the 7th floor and rooftop. In the basement level of the building is a private car park, the electrical high tension cabin, and technical rooms (central heating system and utilities) Furthermore, the entire building is equipped with an automated intrusion detection system utilizing HD surveillance cameras, and an automated fire detection system. The entire building is equipped with general and emergency energy efficient LED lighting. To guarantee the smooth and safe operation of the cruise terminal, two emergency diesel generators provide backup power in the event of a power failure.
