The project entails:
– renovation of: the maternity ward with 2 delivery quarters, Wards C & D, ground floor nuclear medicine department and cafeteria (outfitted with a new kitchen).
– a new building outfitted with the following: basement level- infrastructure facilities for staffing needs (change rooms, showers and automated clothing distribution). Ground floor- consultation rooms, oncology department and necessary facilities for the MICU (Mobile Intensive Care Unit). First floor- new geriatric ward. Second floor- rehabilitation and specialized treatment department.
The expansion will accommodate a new MRI scanner.
The existing divided and disjointed heating systems will be replaced by one central power supply that will provide hot water for both heating and public health sanitation needs of the entire site.
