De Groene Kans (The Green Chance) is an organization that assists job seekers living with challenges,  to find employment in landscape maintenance & management.

Through customized guidance, support and work experience, the chances of sustainable employment increases for these job seekers. De Groene Kans guides approximately 80 job-seekers to work each year through work placements and workplace learning.

De Groene Kans will be moving their organization to the Ijzerboomgaard Provincial Domain whereby an existing warehouse (de kabouterloods) located on the grounds will be renovated to accommodate food production, grounds keepers and administration.

Now that De Groene Kans will be the new addition to the Provincial Domain, there will be a ‘pick-your-own’ garden, a children’s playground area, a picnic area, camping grounds for the youth and a café for cyclers. This domain will also be a receiving and resting point from where one can discover the Westhoek by bike. With De Groene Kans as a partner, the Provincial Domain IJzerboomgaard offers a social dimension by supporting the community.
