Open Call from the Vlaams Bouwmeester for the design competition Won!

Our team with architects Dhooge & Meganck and Dertien12 have won the Open Call from the Vlaams Bouwmeester for the design competition for the construction of a new leisure center and renovation of the town hall in Wingene. To preserve more green open space, the theater hall will be stacked on top of the existing school and library. This will offer the visitors a view of the park and offer people in the park a view of the activities taking place inside. Every sub-building can function on its own, but they can also all be used together and allow simultaneous use. Daylight is also brought in on the stage in the theater. This also makes the theater a pleasant place to stay during the day, for local theater groups in Wingene who perform there and, for example, rehearse during the day or set up stage pieces, but also for example for class groups that can organize small-scale performances or other activities on stage. The stage with potential daylight is for everyone, with a view of the new park.
